We address the needs of women and families in Westchester County on three levels: Public Policy and Advocacy, Public Education and Research and Direct Services.
The Office for Women was created in August of 1980. Since its inception, it has served as a model for similar agencies in three other counties and two cities in New York.
The Women’s Health Partnership (WHP) was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to identifying and responding to the health needs of women in Westchester. It was formed as a joint venture between the Office for Women and the Department of Health.

We offer domestic violence advocacy, outreach and education to Spanish-speaking women. Bicultural and bilingual advocates provide comprehensive services as well as community education.
An advisory board on women’s issues to both the executive and legislative branches of county government. It is comprised of representatives from each of the county’s 17 legislative districts and up to 10 additional at-large members.
A council that encourages coordination of domestic violence services between agencies, departments, the police and the courts with victims of domestic violence and abuse. It promotes prevention, intervention and treatment techniques to improve the response to domestic violence and abuse and to reduce incidents.
