Musical Shows at Playland
Playand's lineup of daily entertainment is all about family fun

Enjoy Playland’s new line-up of free daily entertainment – or be “discovered” as a performer yourself – at Playland Park now through Labor Day. With, high-stepping song-and-dance stage shows, adorable costumed characters and sing-alongs, there is something for everyone in the family.

This season Playland premieres two new shows at the famed Music Tower Theater. Hear what America is singing about at I Hear America Singing, a show that celebrates some of the “hottest tickets” and songs in the county along with some old favorites. I Hear America Singing is performed daily at 1:45, 5 and 9 p.m., however the last show moves to 8:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays to make room for spectacular fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Summer Cruisin’ is a fun-loving show full of great songs and shenanigans from the ‘60s. Class is out, the school bell’s rung and it’s time to tell the teacher goodbye for now. Catch the show every day at 3:30 and 7 p.m.

Playland’s littlest visitors are sure to enjoy three new shows in Kiddyland. In Imagination, kids learn to use their imagination and talents as they learn to dance under the sea, talk to the animals and parade through Kiddyland every day at 12:30, 2:30, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Kids can sing, dance and be active with Playland’s very own “Coaster” the Dragon and his friends at Rock-N-Roll with Coaster. Coaster rocks every day at 1:15, 3, 4:30 and 7:45 p.m. in Kiddyland.

Kids will get to meet a host of enchanting costumed characters, including Coaster the friendly Playland dragon, who will stroll throughout the Kiddyland area every day at 12:30, 1:15, 3, 4:30, 6:15, 7:45 and 8:30 p.m. As always, photographs and hugs are welcome.

The entertainment doesn’t stop there! In Xtreme Rythms, talented percussionists disguised as ordinary-looking patrons suddenly start banging and stomping using trash cans, brooms and whatever else is at their disposal. It’s not just noise – this awesome movement of bodies, objects and sounds is unforgettable and can be experienced at various spots around the park at 3, 4, 5, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Finally, Everybody Dance Now! is an open invitation for anyone and everyone to strut their stuff and show off their own moves every day by the Dragon Coaster at 12:45, 4:15 and 8:15 p.m.

Times of entertainment are subject to change.
